DNDT- on Morning December 21st, the member Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Committee, Chairman of People’s Council, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh welcomed Japanese Ambassador in Vietnam Mr. Kunio Umeda to visit and work in the city.

At the meeting, the Secretary of The City Committee Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh highly appreciated the positive support from the Japanese Government in the programs, the project that have been implemented in Da Nang.

Some Japanese ODA projects have promoted their effectiveness, many businesses and some Japanese localities such as cities of Kawasaki, Yokohama, Sakai's ... have the relationship of investment cooperation, support for Da Nang city  on the social-economic development, organize many cultural exchange activities, contribute to building good solidarity friendship ties between Da Nang and the localities of Japan in particular, between the two countries in general.

Secretary of The City Committee Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh said, at present the city is promoting the deployment of projects like the industrial zone reserved for Japanese business in Da Nang (area of 104 ha) and Vietnam – Japan Cultural Exchange park (area of 1.2 ha ); at the same time expressed a desire that the Ambassador will actively support and call on enterprises, institutions,  from Japan to fund, invest in those projects.

Secretary of The City Committee Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh confirmed the City’s Government will create favorable conditions for Japanese businesses to invest in Da Nang and suggested the Ambassador to hold as the bridge for promoting ties between two sides especially the connection of Japanese businesses to invest in Da Nang on the field of High Technology, Vocational Training, Cultural Exchange, Tourism Development Cooperation ...

Agreed with the proposal of city’s leader, Ambassador Kunio Umeda said that he will do his best to put the relationship between Da Nang and Japan to new height, promote cooperative relations between the two sides increasingly comprehensive, tight, going into the depth on many aspects such as Education, High Technology, Tourism, ...

Ambassador expresses his wish that Da Nang continues to create favorable conditions for enterprises of Japan to invest, develop appropriate projects; at the same time confirms that Japan is willing to support and cooperate with Da Nang to carry out the projects on the field of upgrading the infrastructure, cultural exchange, especially on close coordination with the City Government to well organize the APEC Economic Leaders' Week taking place in the year 2017.
