(AFP) On October 28, at Tay Son junior high school (Da Nang), students were excited with the experimental course of scientific research based on the natural mechanism with contents to reproduce the light of fireflies in the Palm of the Hand, the principle of wind power generating and method of generating electric power from natural energy sources.

The program was hold by Educational institution Leave a Nest-Japan, Selfwing Vietnam in collaboration with the junior high schools in Da Nang City.

Through scientific research experience sessions, with the guidance of the Philosophy doctors of Educational institution Leave a Nest-Japan, students have explored the principle of generating wind power, learnt how generate power from natural energy sources; Learnt about the light of fireflies, and gene and reproduced the light if fireflies in the Palm of the Hand.

Student Phan Nguyen Anh Thu (grade 8, Tay Son Junior High School) shared: "I feel excited to be joining such course. With a way of transmitting knowledge that is very easy to understand knowledge by teachers, along with the self-experiment, exchange, discuss with classmates in the group, I have accumulated and engraved deeply scientific knowledge. Very interesting to see the fireflies, but this is the first time I learn the principle of the glow of fireflies in the laboratory, can reproduce the fireflies light up right in the Palm of my hand. I want the my school has more funny hours like this anymore"
